IMeko honors Carmelo Scuro with the Best Reviewer Award

Carmelo Scuro, a researcher from the Department of Physics and a member of the research group at the Modeling, Simulation, and Visualization Laboratory (LMSV) of STAR, coordinated by Eleonora Bilotta and Pietro Pantano, has been awarded the "Best Reviewer Award" by Frank Härtig, President of the International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO), for his work with the international journal Acta IMEKO.
The decision to honor Dr. Scuro’s work, as reported in the IMEKO newsletter, was based on his significant scientific contribution as a reviewer in the fields of mathematical physics and applied mathematics to the field of measurements, areas that define his profile in the journal.
The researcher has been conducting studies for years focusing on the implementation of mathematical models in monitoring systems for predicting damage caused by earthquakes, river flooding, and wildfire propagation, which have earned him further recognition from the scientific community.
