Where we are

The STAR research infrastructure is located on Via Tito Flavio, within the University of Calabria Campus, in the municipality of Rende, 11 km from the center of Cosenza.

You can reach STAR by:

• Car: Take the Cosenza Nord exit on the Mediterranean Highway (A2) and follow the signs for Università-Paola.

• Train: The nearest railway station is Castiglione Cosentino, which connects to the major railway hubs of Paola (Tyrrhenian railway line) and Sibari (Ionian railway line). Near the station, there is a  Consorzio Autolinee bus stop that connects Cosenza with the University Campus. To reach it, exit Castiglione Cosentino station and walk along Via Edison until you reach Via L. Da Vinci.

• Airplane: The nearest airport is Lamezia Terme, which is connected to Cosenza and the University of Calabria by a bus service.
• Bus: STAR and the Arcavacata Campus are connected to major cities in Calabria by regional bus services. In particular, the bus service to Cosenza and Rende is provided by Consorzio Autolinee. The main bus terminal in Cosenza is located in Piazza Autostazione.
